Terms & Booking Conditions - Limitations of Liability

Registration

Methods of booking:
Booking a trip implies the acceptance of the following terms and booking conditions and limitations of liability. Any registration must be carried out via the booking form signed by each participant or the online customer information form filled up and accompanied by a 30% down payment per person. Submitting the down payment implies committing to your registration, subject of course, to availability. The balance due, including any additional services, if requested, is payable three months before the departure. If full payment is not received three months from the departure date, Mountain World Travel can cancel your registration without penalty. In the event of a booking less than three months before the departure, the full payment of the trip must be paid at the time of the booking.

For all customized trips and expeditions, separate terms and conditions will apply.

Registration must reflect the first and last names of the participant as written on their passport or identification card. If any part of the name is changed after booking, Mountain World Travel will charge a minimum fee of $100 to the participant for the modification.

Minors:
Registration of minors must be accompanied by parental authority; such as a signature by father or mother indicating their agreement of the contract. At the time of departure, the minor must have all documents in possession allowing exit and re-entry from/into his/her country. The minor remains under the responsibility of their parental authority or their accompanying adult throughout the duration of the trip; including all facets of the trip (walking, skiing, swimming, boating and riding by mule or donkey etc...). Mountain World Travel is not responsible for Minors. If a Minor travels without his parents, contact information must be communicated to Mountain World Travel before departure.

Physical capacity and training:
For all trips, the participant must make ensure that their physical condition is up to par for their selected trip. Therefore, we strongly recommend a Physical prior to your registration. Mountain World Travel can not be held responsible for persons with physical deficiencies which may become evident during a trip. In all cases, Mountain World Travel's trip leader reserves the right to refuse, at any moment, participants who may not be in good physical condition in accordance with the rigors of the trip. Refunds are not given under such circumstances.

Our trekking trips are not rigorous mountain climbing expeditions but they are, along with many of our tours, physically demanding, and often require travel to areas where medical facilities are virtually nonexistent and evacuation can be prolonged, difficult and expensive. For most trips, where spending extended time in remote areas is necessary, Mountain World Travel will furnishes first aid kits and attempts to secure, but does not guarantee, medical services. Mountain World Travel assumes no liability regarding providing medical care. Members are urged to check their insurance coverage to be certain that it is adequate or they can sign up for the travel insurance that we recommend.

It is vital that persons with medical problems make them known to us well before departure.
Trip members should have a personal supply of any special medications which they may need; a suggested personal first aid list is available on each detailed itinerary. It is understood that Mountain World Travel is not a medical facility and therefore has no expertise or responsibility regarding what medications or inoculations you and your private physician should decide necessary for your safe participation in the tour.

Foreign entry requirements and health:
Information relating to foreign entry requirements and health formalities are communicated by Mountain World Travel, solely as indications. Each participant must confirm these formalities directly with the proper authorities. Each participant must possess, at all times during the trip, their documents relating to Law, Customs and Health. It is each participant's responsibility to ensure that he/she is in compliance with all formalities relating to Law, Customs and Health (example: Passport, Visa, Vaccine Certificate, etc...).

Travel warnings:
As an organizer for worldwide trips, Mountain World Travel is concerned for our guest's safety and security.

We always keep ourselves up to date with current travel warnings and always consider the government safety advices, while organizing and preparing our trips.

We recommend that participants consult the security instructions distributed by government authorities and the traveling recommendations made by government officials; available on websites specific to each country http://travel.state.gov

This warning information can change daily; therefore, it is highly advised to consult it regularly.

Trip Members' Responsibility:
Trip members have the responsibility to select a trip appropriate to their abilities and interests. We are also happy to discuss the trip with you.

Trip members are responsible for preparing for the trip by studying the detailed itinerary and for bringing the appropriate clothing and equipment as advised.

Pricing:

Price of the trip:
Prices listed are subject to change since trip dates and prices have often been published more than a year in advance. Between that time and the time of the trip's actual departure, we are occasionally faced with exceptional cost increases or currency fluctuations that we cannot absorb. We do everything we can to keep our prices the same as published.

The price of the trip indicated in the invoice document sent to participants by Mountain World Travel. The total price invoiced to the participant can be different from the one specified on Mountain World Travel's web site, considering the additional services that could be requested by the participant. The participant's payment of these additional services indicated on the invoice represents his/her acceptance without any refund possible.
Methods of price adjustment
:

Prices may be adjusted for the following reasons:
- cost of local air fares related, in particular, to the cost of fuel;
- royalties and taxes related to services such as... unloading, loading, landing fees in the ports and the airports;
- exchange rates applied to the trip. Such adjustments could be possible in the event of a variation in the US Dollar exchange rate. The total price is subject to this event.

For customers already registered, this adjustment will be notified, at the latest, 90 days before the departure. For customers registered less than 90 days before departure, this adjustment will apply immediately upon booking the trip.

The cost of all Mountain World Travel trips is priced on the understanding of customers agreeing to the Limitations of Liability.
Tier Pricing:

Our trips' land cost is priced according to the number of full price paying travelers enrolled in on the trip. Our website has a list of our tier price system. This system allows a trip to run with as few as two participants. In order to operate these small groups, we are obligated to use tier price. Tier price is calculated on the number of full price paying travelers. Mountain World Travel invoices you at the regular quoted price until final payment is due. If there are a small number of travelers enrolled in the trip, you will see an increase in price per person. You will be invoiced the difference according to our Tier Price.
Single supplement:
Accommodations (hotels, yacht cabins, tents....) are based on double occupancy. If you prefer single accommodations, you must pay a single supplement fee, which is listed to the trip itinerary. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we will try to match you with a roommate of the same gender. If there is no one with whom you can share, you are required to pay a "forced" single supplement fee, which is usually half of the regular price supplement. On some trips, and/or some places, single accommodations are not available.
