Visiting Galapagos Islands
Nautical and wildlife adventure “Galapagos Islands”
Nautical holiday extension of 5 days (4 nights) or 8 days (7 nights) on the Galápagos Islands
The Galápagos Islands, magic volcanic archipelago, present innumerable attractions which inspire any passionate traveler’s dreams: twisted lava flow, craters, bays and paradisiacal beaches…. these splendid landscapes enchant the gaze. But the spectacle is everywhere, on ground, in the air and under water: innumerable marine birds, terrestrial or marine giant tortoises, multicolored iguanas, sea-lions, penguins, fish, etc; all very easy to approach and photograph, and the list of them is end less! You will be also astonished by the large variety of vegetation on the islands, arid (cactus) or tropical!
Highlights
- A nautical extension to discover all of the richness of the archipelago.
- Splendid sites composed of volcanic landscapes, paradisiacal bays and beaches.
- A unique and preserved, mainly endemic fauna.
- An original much diversified flora
To discover all of these treasures, we propose a navigable extension of 5 or 8 days, which is adaptable following our programs in Ecuador.
All boat trips depart on a fixed day each week. Due to this logistic, if you are opting for an extension, you may have some lag time between the end of your trip prior to the beginning of your extension. In this case, you would need to add additional nights in Quito. the total duration of the extension depends on the ending day of the normal program in Ecuador: the extension can last longer, in this case you will need to add additional nights atQuito.
The Galápagos extensions are individual extensions, which means that the boat is not reserved just for Moutain World Travel. You will be, in general, with people whom you do not know, of various nationalities.
We do not reserve the places in the Galapagos Islands in advance. The possibility of carrying out this extension is thus subject to availability at the time of your registration (exemple: continent-islands airline availibility, spots on the boats).
Our advice:
- We recommend that you bring your personnal snorkling equipment (or buy it in Quito during your trip), because, even if the boats provide the material in general, quality can be poor or they can be out-of-stock.
A boat is used for lodging and as a way of transportation. The route and the boat that we propose to you here, is given as an example. According to the availability at the time of your registration, the routes and the visited islands could be different.

YACHT VALKIRIA
GALAPAGOS islands multi sport adventure and cultural cruises
Multisport and multi adventure cruises in the Galapagos islands are very popular new alternatives to the typical galapagos tours, every year it is estimated that thousands of adventurous people come to see what everyone everyone is talking about and more! In the past, tours were conducted on very small fast boat without minimum safety and survival equipment. These outboard motorboats ran on gasoline, which according to international regulations is not allowed for transporting tourists. All of this has changed with the arrival of two modern vessels specifically thought out for our adventures. These comfortable, service oriented modern vessels are, of course, equipped with all of the necessary safety and communication devices. If you are contemplating an out of this world, multi adventure tour, SIC VALKIRIA awaits you!
Built in france, the beautiful VALKIRIA, designed by Philippe Jeantot is a welcoming catamaran.
For cruising around the Galapagos in style, this beautiful yacht accommodates 10 guests in 5 large double cabins with full size beds each with bathrooms and showers, indoor and outdoor dining areas, full navigational equipment which features all US and EU communication and safety required electronics, a solar panel which makes it completely ecological with all instruments and systems working on battery. The S/C Valkiria is the perfect choice for a luxurious trip in the Galapagos. Visit the top of mostly active volcanoes which took part in the formation of these islands. Not offered on any regular cruise, visiting the volcanoes along with the unique opportunity to observe the local population; seeing how they interact with nature in harmony and learning how they arrived lends to a one of kind experience.
