Levels
An average journey of 4 to 5 hours per day for the
occasional back country skier , good hiker, comfortable on single black diamond
slopes and capable of skiing with a 13 to 18 pounds back pack. Non-varying and
easy descents in all types of snow. Initiation and mountain guide assistance on
the technical passages.
An average journey of 5 hours per day for very experienced hikers and good skiers in all types of snow. Capable of
comfortably carrying a 13 to 22 pounds back pack while skiing (altitude gain of approximately 2,000 feet). Good controls of skiing kick turns. Longer descents.
An average journey of 6 hours per day for the very experienced
hiker and excellent skier in all types of snow (altitude gain of 2,300 to 3,300
feet). Very good control of turning and stopping. Descent on approximately 35
degrees slope.
A more than 6 hour journey with the technical control of a level 4 "Snow Flake" . Mostly passages on glaciers
(more than 3,300 feet of altitude gain).
SNOW ADVENTURES: Alpine Ski Touring
For ski touring and downhill skiing far away from ski area equipments. From initiation to great traverses, from improvement to a summit in altitude; off-piste skiing in wild bowls and white winter deserts. Slow and contemplative ascents, exciting descents, far from crowds. The pleasure of slipping and sliding into preserved nature. Reserved to hikers/good skiers used to skiing with back pack. From initiation courses to destination trips to traversing large glacial bowls and the most wild mountain valleys.
